The Ice Stadium is located a few minutes walk from the center of Cortina. At the end of Corso Italia, heading north, take via del Castello and continue for about 500 m. The area is also served during the winter season by the city bus line. It is accessible both in winter and in summer with a refrigerated ice rink (30 x 60 m.), Bar service, skating instructors, solarium and playground for children. In the back of the stadium there is an area equipped for skateboarders.

The Olympic Ice Stadium is certainly the most important facility, in terms of size and commitment, built to host the "ice" sports of the VII Winter Olympics in 1956; it was the site of the Official Inauguration Ceremony.
