Children and adults of Ukraine, who fled the war, have been in Cortina since March 18, hosted by the Municipality in the former Convent of the Friars.
The structure was reorganized and equipped - at the expense of the Municipality - with new structures and furnishings to accommodate Ukrainian families, for a total of 22 people.
The municipal administration has also organized an Italian language course for 33 people including children, adolescents and adults, in collaboration with the Edelweiss school, which will take place in the Spazio Giovani rooms from Tuesday 29 March.
Today March 31, 11 children with their parents and carers will visit the Duca d'Aosta School and will soon be able to attend thanks to the materials - pens, colors, notebooks, diaries - donated by the Municipality and by private citizens.
"To the work of welcoming, organizing, rearranging and furnishing the premises, which is basic equipment for people fleeing the drama of the war, is added the difficult but necessary completion of the bureaucratic procedures carried out in recent weeks by the municipal administration of Cortina. Our desire is to give support to those who have lost everything and to guarantee the greatest possible serenity, especially for children "
